Products Containing Gluten
How long has Nature’s Sunshine been in Europe?
Our UK office was opened in 1990 and has been distributing to European countries since 2000
Do you carry out animal testing on your products?
Nature's Sunshine Products does not test the safety of products or ingredients on animals. NSP uses dietary supplement and personal care product ingredients that already have established safety. The ingredients in our products have been widely studied by science and have an established record of safety through their long history of traditional use. Therefore, it is not necessary for the ingredients or products themselves to be subject to any form of animal testing procedures.
Environmentally Friendly
Are your bags recyclable?
Did you know that 100,000 tonnes of plastic bags are thrown away every year– that’s the same weight as 70,000 cars! We’re changing our bags to bio-polythene. This means they are made using standard oil-based polythene plus an additive, which makes the bags degrade between 12-18 months. Biothene starts to degrade upon exposure to sunlight and the process is accelerated by heat, leaving a non-toxic residue. Because of this, they can be recycled easier, they are better for the environment and you can re-use them over and over.
How do you package your products?
NSP shipping department uses over 25,000 boxes annually. These boxes are made from recycled card and can in turn be recycled after use by consumers. Any packets we receive from the US are used to send our orders, reducing the need for new boxes.
The packaging we use inside our parcels is completely eco-friendly. It is in fact the world’s most environmentally friendly alternative to polystyrene loosefill. Greenfill biodegradable loosefill is a wheat base and eliminates the usual problems of disposal and mess that are associated with the use of polystyrene loosefill. This makes GreenFill easy to work with and a pleasure to receive. Being biodegradable, disposal of GreenFill is easy and safe.
Are you carbon neutral?
In 2006, the term “carbon neutral” was introduced to the New Oxford Dictionary. To be carbon neutral means that as a whole you conserve or recycle carbon to offset the amount of carbon dioxide released from burning fossil fuels. NSP doesn’t burn fossil fuels in manufacturing. However, with the plant materials processed by NSP it adds up to approximately 7.2 million kilograms per year of renewable live plants that consume carbon dioxide.
Do you use recycled materials?
Glass bottles used for liquid products are made from 40% recycled glass. All in house literature (price lists, flyers, etc) is printed on recyclable paper taken from sustainable forests and all the ink is vegetable based. We recycle all paper and cardboard packaging.
WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
We also follow the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) for correct disposal of electronics.
